Wimbledon 2017: Men's Final Winner, Score and Twitter Reaction
Roger Federer claimed a record-breaking eighth Wimbledon title as he defeated Marin Cilic at the All England Club on Sunday.
The veteran leaned on all of his big-match experience to prevail 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 as he kept his opponent on a very short lead.
Federer won the title without dropping a set at the championships in London, completing victory in under two hours.
The Swiss player put on a clinic as the Croatian was far from his best in the final.
Cilic began to deconstruct in the second set, emotionally drained as Federer turned on the style.
The doctor was called to the court as Cilic struggled in the second with tears in his eyes.
Wimbledon highlighted the moment:
Tennis writer Tumaini Carayol commented on Cilic's state of mind:
Federer broke Cilic twice in the opening set to gain an advantage, 6-3, and the Croatian appeared affected by the occasion.
Cilic laboured in the second, taking a medical timeout as he lost the set to have his left foot strapped up.
TV presenter Shannon Sharpe tipped his hat towards Federer's play:

The Swiss superstar won the second, 6-1, with Cilic's serve collapsing once again.
Cilic stood further back in the court in the third, allowing Federer to attack the net, but the legend stuck to his plan of delivering expansive tennis.
The Croatian was more composed as he tried to work his way back into the contest, but his serve was simply lacking.
Cilic only landed two aces in the first two sets, and a reliable weapon had become a hindrance for the 28-year-old.
Stuart Fraser of The Times highlighted Federer's recent record when he gets in front:
Cilic fashioned a 3-2 lead in the third to the delight of the crowd, with the fans attempting to pump confidence into the underdog.
However, as dark clouds threatened rain over Centre Court, Federer grabbed the break he needed to make it 4-3.
Tennis writer Matt Zemek provided his thoughts on the action:

As new balls were provided, Federer served for the match, and Cilic had no reply as he completed victory, 6-4.
Cilic was expected to test his opponent to greater lengths, but Federer was supreme as the Croatian struggled with his foot.
Federer is rolling back the years to deliver his best tennis, and he will be a major threat at the forthcoming U.S. Open.
