Tamika Catchings was the No. 3 pick in the 2001 WNBA draft.
On Saturday, the team that drafted her, the Indiana Fever, retired her jersey in honor of her status as the first player in franchise history.
The ceremony took place just before the Fever took on the Los Angeles Sparks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis:

Catchings won the 2012 championship with the Fever and was the MVP of that series. She was also the 2011 league MVP, was a five-time Defensive Player of the Year, a 10-time All-Star and earned seven All-WNBA first-team nods, among many other career accolades.
