Former JUCO Basketball Player Johnathan Turner Arrested on Sexual Assault Charge
Former Ranger (Texas) Junior College basketball player Johnathan Turner, who is currently on probation for manslaughter, was arrested last Tuesday on sexual assault charges.
According to T.J. Quinn of ESPN.com, Turner is being held on $300,000 bond after being charged with second-degree felony sexual assault and third-degree felony obstruction and intimidation. Law enforcement officials told Quinn they expect Turner's probation from the manslaughter case to be revoked.
Turner, 22, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 2015 after accidentally killing friend Troy Causey Jr. in a fight over a video game in 2014. Turner admitted to punching Causey, who then hit his head on the street and died of injuries suffered in the altercation.

While he was initially charged with first-degree murder when an autopsy report indicated he may have struck Causey after he fell, Turner was later given a seven-year suspended sentence after being offered a plea bargain. Witnesses said Turner never hit Causey after he went to the ground.
Turner played this season at Ranger Junior College, where he averaged 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds.
