Benches Clear in Tigers-M's ⚔️
UNC and Kentucky Go Back and Forth in Wild Finish
David McCrackenMar 26, 2017
This is March Madness.
We've seen plenty of buzzer-beaters and incredible shots throughout the 2017 NCAA tournament, but we haven't often seen teams trade clutch baskets in the waning seconds of a game.
With less than 10 seconds remaining during Sunday's Elite Eight showdown, Kentucky's Malik Monk hit an improbable off-balance three-pointer, tying the game at 73 apiece.
Overtime appeared to be in the cards, but UNC sophomore forward Luke Maye capped off his career day by drilling a long two-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in the game, putting the Tar Heels in the Final Four.
