East Tennessee State Coach Steve Forbes Speaks to Team Before Facing Florida

Thursday's matchup against No. 4 seed Florida marked No. 13 seed Eastern Tennessee State's first NCAA tournament game since 2010. Before the game, head coach Steve Forbes rallied his squad with a stirring pregame speech.

The second-year coach ensured his players they wouldn't face a Gators squad on par with the 2005-06 and 2006-07 champions featuring future NBA veterans Al Horford, Joakim Noah and Corey Brewer.

"I know the difference between good and great," Forbes said. "I've seen great Florida. I've seen good Florida. Understand this: Horford, Noah and Brewer, they ain't coming out of that tunnel."

He then repeated the battle cry of "gritty, grimy, tough and together" before imploring his squad to "take what we deserve."
