Nolan Carroll, Dallas Cowboys Reportedly Agree to 3-Year Contract
Veteran cornerback Nolan Carroll is off the market, as he reportedly signed with the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Per Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the deal will be for three years and $10 million, with $4 million coming in the first season.
The 30-year-old defensive back spent the past three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, starting 28 games during that time frame, including all 16 contests in 2016.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He finished last year's campaign with 55 combined tackles, 11 passes defended and one interception for an Eagles defense that was 13th against the pass.
Carroll and fellow starting corner Leodis McKelvin often struggled on deep balls, though, as evidenced by this graphic courtesy of Pro Football Focus:
PFF also ranked Philadelphia's secondary as the NFL's worst in 2016.
The Miami Dolphins selected the former Maryland standout in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL draft, and his career-high three interceptions in 2013 resulted in his landing a free-agent deal with Philly.
The Eagles initially used Carroll in nickel and dime packages, but he started every game he appeared in over the past two seasons.
His career numbers don't jump off the page with just eight interceptions in seven campaigns, but he has 54 starts to his credit and brings a great deal of experience to the table.
Although he missed five games in 2015 because of a broken fibula, Carroll has also been fairly durable, playing in 16 games in three of the past four seasons.
Late in the 2016 campaign, Carroll acknowledged his desire to return to the Eagles if possible, according to Mark Eckel of NJ.com: "I'd like to come back, but it's not just up to me. We'll see what happens."
Although he and the Eagles never consummated a deal, Carroll now has an opportunity to make an impact with the Cowboys.
Being part of a secondary that struggled in 2016 didn't do Carroll's individual play any favors, but moving to what figures to be a better unit should help mask some of his deficiencies. Still, the Cowboys secondary remains somewhat in flux. Safety Barry Church departed to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, as the team announced Friday, and cornerback Morris Claiborne could also leave.
