When Houston Texans star J.J. Watt hears about people in need, he does everything he can to help out.

On New Year's Eve, a reckless driver in Texas hit two parked cars that then collided into a group of pedestrians, including eight-year-old Noah Fulmer, at a high rate of speed:

@JJWatt @HoustonTexans Noah loves JJ and the Texans and EMTs cut off his watt jersey to help him. He hasnt stopped crying about it. https://t.co/7iehwHyPPH

Emergency response teams obviously prioritize a victim's health over his/her wardrobe, but for an eight-year-old, losing a jersey of your favorite player can be devastating—no matter the circumstances.

@JJWatt There is a lil boy at memorial hermann who was ran over by a truck and is just crying that EMTs cut his Watt jersey. @HoustonTexans

Through the power of the internet, news of the accident made its way to Watt, who is currently rehabbing a back injury. Doing what he does, the Texans defensive end stepped in to try to help a family get through a tough time:

That is terrible, is he ok? Tell him I'll bring him a new jersey tomorrow. https://t.co/jSYhbhxU1H
