NFL TV Schedule 2016: Coverage Map, Times, Live-Stream Listings for Week 11

Michelle BrutonNov 17, 2016

The push for the playoffs is beginning.

Week 11 of the 2016 NFL season features key matchups that could shake up the hunt for postseason berths for multiple teams, but especially in the NFC, where parity is the name of the game.

In particular, three matchups in Week 11 between six NFC teams could affect playoff standings in the coming weeks.

Must-Watch Matchups

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

Many Thursday Night Football matchups are not particularly watchable.

After all, Thursday night games are like participation trophies: Everyone gets one.

However, the schedule smiled upon Week 11, which features two NFC South rivals clinging for dear life to their chances of securing a playoff berth.

The 4-5 Saints are in third place in the division, while the 3-6 Panthers are bringing up the rear. No one would have expected coming into the 2016 season that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) would be outpacing their historically higher-achieving rivals, but here we are.

These two teams met once already this season in Week 6; the result was a close and heartbreaking 41-38 loss for the Panthers.

Carolina is looking for revenge, but it may not outscore the Saints offense, which is the No. 1 unit in the NFL right now in sheer yardage.

Once upon a time, Carolina could have called upon its defense to slow Drew Brees and the Saints, but the Panthers are allowing 25.1 points per game, 22nd in the NFL.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings

Speaking of underperforming teams in the NFC, neither the Arizona Cardinals nor the Minnesota Vikings are leading their respective divisions right now, though both have squandered opportunities to move into that spot.

The 5-4 Vikings have gone on a shocking free fall, losing four straight games after winning their first five.

However, their record is identical to the Detroit Lions' and the 4-5 Packers are not challenging anyone right now for NFC North supremacy, so a win in Week 11 could get Minnesota back on the right track.

Meanwhile, the 4-4-1 Arizona Cardinals are falling behind the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, who appear to be starting a hot streak.

The Cardinals are only 1-2 on the road this year, and the Vikings defense is No. 1 in the league in points allowed at just 16.9 points per game.

Carson Palmer and David Johnson may not be able to do enough to score on the Minnesota defense and get the Cardinals back on the road to first place in the division.

Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle Seahawks

The 5-4 Philadelphia Eagles find themselves at last place in the NFC East, but their gutty win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10 could be the confidence boost they need to go on a win streak.

Unfortunately, the Eagles are meeting the Seahawks at the wrong time.

Seattle has won two in a row and shows no signs of slowing down.

The defense is allowing the second-fewest points (17.6) in the NFL, and the offense is about to get running back Thomas Rawls back, whom the team plans to play considerably, as Seahawks.com's John Boyle reported:

Defeating the Seahawks would be a coup for the Eagles, no doubt. But with an already stout defense, Seattle's offense is now figuring to take a big jump forward.
