NFL Power Rankings Week 11: Updated Records, 2016-17 Super Bowl Odds
The scales have tipped back into balance in the NFL ahead of Week 11.
Surprise contenders such as the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints have bowed out of the picture after Week 10. Slow starters such as the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens have kicked into high gear and look like some of the best teams in the league.
For those bettors with the foresight to see such changes, kudos. Las Vegas oddsmakers have compensated for the recent shift, forcing would-be bettors to start the process anew.

Time to Abandon Ship: Green Bay Packers (25-1)
It is time for bettors to face the reality of the situation: The Green Bay Packers aren't a smart bet.
As much as one might have the urge to roll with an Aaron Rodgers-led team, Green Bay has been erratic. And that's being kind, since the erratic play has turned downright putrid in the form of a three-game skid.
The latest was a 47-25 embarrassment at the hands of the .500 Tennessee Titans. Rodgers threw a pair of scores and picks while being outplayed by Marcus Mariota, who threw four scores with no interceptions. Running back DeMarco Murray shredded Green Bay with ease, taking 17 totes for 123 yards and a score on 7.2 yards per carry.
Rob Reischel of Packers Plus explained the historically bad play by the defense:
There is only so much Rodgers can do on his own, and even he hasn't been a shining model of consistency. He's already sitting on seven interceptions, one shy of his high of eight in 2011.
The NFC North doesn't promise anything, either. Green Bay has to deal with each team in the division over the final three weeks of the season. Before that, tough games against Washington, Philadelphia and Seattle loom.
This payout isn't terrible, but bettors can find more comfortable situations.
Best Buy: Baltimore Ravens (28-1)
The Ravens received a nod in the intro because of a two-game win streak and an unexpected AFC North lead.
Said streak broke a four-game skid, true. But through it all, the Baltimore defense has looked like elite units of old, permitting just 281.6 yards per game (first) and 17.8 points per game (tied for third).
Quarterback Joe Flacco said it best after a 28-7 win against the Cleveland Browns, as the NFL's official Twitter account captured:
Indeed, as long as Flacco and the offense can provide a smallish cushion, it seems the Ravens can ride an elite defense to the postseason.
Look at Week 9, a 21-14 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Baltimore held Ben Roethlisberger in check with one touchdown and interception, while star back Le'Veon Bell ran for 32 yards on 2.3 yards per carry.
Baltimore already has a 3-0 mark in the AFC North. It swept Cleveland, beat Pittsburgh and still gets the 3-4-1 Cincinnati Bengals twice. Other potholes such as Dallas and New England exist on the schedule, but the current play of the defense hints at a divisional title.
Once in the playoffs, a superb defense can do some serious damage. At this payout, Baltimore looks like one of the top buys of the year.
Favorite to Know: Seattle Seahawks (25-4)
The Seahawks have returned to prominence, folks.
At 6-2-1, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks have the NFC West in a chokehold. No other team sits better than .500, and Seattle has two wins in a row after an odd tie and loss.
The latest win says it all. Seattle marched into Foxborough, Massachusetts, and took down the New England Patriots, 31-24. Wilson tossed three scores, while counterpart Tom Brady threw an interception. C.J. Prosise and Christine Michael combined for 88 rushing yards, while New England's LeGarrette Blount mustered 69. Rob Gronkowski only caught three passes for 56 yards.
Numbers don't really do it justice. Seattle had played on Monday Night Football, then turned around to hit the road and upset perhaps the best team in the league. MMQB's Albert Breer noted the feat:
Seattle still has to close the season with three consecutive NFC West games. It lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 and tied the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7, so the task isn't as easy as it sounds. Sprinkle in tough games against Philadelphia and Green Bay, too.
Still, this Seahawks team feels like it is hitting its stride at the right time. Wilson and the Seahawks have notoriously started the past several seasons slowly before turning it on and making a big run.
Bettors should want to bank on this happening again.
