
Isaiah Pead in Critical Condition Following Car Crash
Free-agent running back Isaiah Pead was involved in a single-car accident Nov. 12 in Columbus, Ohio. According to NBC 4's Matt Barnes, Pead is in critical condition.
Citing the Columbus Division of Police, NBC 4 reported Pead lost control of his vehicle before he was ejected from the car. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
"The Cadillac struck the metal guardrail and continued through it," NBC 4 wrote. "After going through the guardrail, the Cadillac became airborne and struck several trees on the way down the embankment. It came to rest about 95 feet from the roadway."

Pead underwent surgery Nov. 12, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
"It's devastating, because he lost part of his left leg," Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Tommy Tuberville said Wednesday, per Tom Groeschen of the Cincinnati Enquirer. "He'll never play again, obviously. It's just devastating."
Former Ohio State Buckeyes standout and Columbus native Jared Sullinger tweeted a message of support for Pead—who also hails from Columbus—on Nov. 12:
Pead rushed for 75 yards during his first two seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, but he missed the 2014 season after tearing his left ACL in preseason action.
The 2012 second-round pick out of Cincinnati returned for the 2015 season and played in two games.
Pead latched on with the Miami Dolphins in the offseason, made the team's final roster and played in three games before he was cut Oct. 11.
The former Bearcats standout worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 8, according to Pro Football Talk's Zac Jackson.
