Tramon Williams Trade Rumors: Latest News and Speculation on Browns CB
The Cleveland Browns are not only shopping cornerback Joe Haden. It seems they're also willing to move fellow starter Tramon Williams.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news, noting that both players could possess value because they are under team control.
Williams, 33, is under contract through the 2017 season. In his second season with the Browns, he has recorded 22 tackles and one interception while appearing in six games. He has started only three of those contests after losing out to youngster Jamar Taylor in camp and dealing with injuries.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Browns have consistently failed defensively early in games, putting their offense in a hole as they've dropped their first eight contests.
"Sometimes teams just get started slow and it's really been what we've been doing," Williams told reporters. "We've been starting slow, then pick it up and play well for most part of the game."
Finding a trade partner for Williams may be tough. His contract calls for a base salary of $5.7 million in 2017—not exactly a small figure for someone who couldn't keep his job on an 0-8 Browns team. Cleveland is paying him $6.2 million in base salary in 2016 as part of a three-year, $21 million contract he signed before last season.
There aren't many teams that are going to leap at the chance to take on that contract, let alone give up draft-pick compensation in return. The number of teams with the necessary cap room available to acquire Williams are not many, and even fewer are so desperate for a third cornerback that they'd offer anything of value.
Pro Football Focus ranks Williams 96th at his position this season. The idea that Cleveland would be able to trade him before Tuesday's deadline is likely more wishful thinking than anything.
