Braxton Miller Says He Made Kyle Schwarber Choose Baseball
Kyle Schwarber's World Series comeback has sparked national attention, which Braxton Miller is attempting to exploit for personal profit.
After tearing his ACL in early April, the Chicago Cubs slugger was presumably done for the year. He shocked everyone, however, by returning as the team's designated hitter in the first two games of the Fall Classic against the Cleveland Indians.
If the 23-year-old looks like a linebacker in the batter's box, that's because he was an all-state one for Middletown High School in Ohio. He encountered elite competition on the gridiron, including Miller.

Now a wide receiver for the Houston Texans, Miller played quarterback for Huber Heights' Wayne High School before moving on to Ohio State. Now, he is taking credit for sending Schwarber to the diamond, posting a photo on Facebook of the outfielder missing a tackle against him in high school.
Perhaps concerned with his limited role in the Texans offense, the NFL rookie is even marketing merchandise of the photo with a caption reading, "I made Kyle choose baseball."
If this is truly the case, Schwarber will owe Miller his utmost gratitude when he enters free agency after six seasons of service. Cubs teammate Jason Heyward will earn $7.2 million more than Texans superstar J.J. Watt this year.
