Kansas Jayhawks Offer a Glimpse of Incredible $12 Million Dorm

For those basketball recruits who want to avoid living in old, worn-out buildings, the University of Kansas might be the place to attend.

The Jayhawks upgraded their basketball team's housing last year when they opened up McCarthy Hall near Allen Fieldhouse. When you learn it cost $12 million (funded by private donors), you'll get an idea of just how fancy the dorm is.

Kansas hoopsters Devonte' Graham and Landen Lucas gave the Kansas City Star a tour of the building. Needless to say, it's much better than a typical college dorm. Here are some of the amenities:

• Half-court basketball facility
• Media room
• Multipurpose room
• Game room
• Barbershop
• Balcony
