Kevin Owens' Best Booking Options for WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 Following Raw
WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens has been the focal point of Raw over the last several weeks, and wrestling fans are curious as to who he will square off against at the 2016 edition of the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October.
While a rematch against former world champion Seth Rollins looks inevitable, recent reports of an injury to Rollins could jeopardize the likely matchup. As seen on Monday’s episode of Raw, though, a tag team match alongside Chris Jericho against Enzo and Cass is possible.
Here are the best booking options for Owens and the Universal Championship heading into WWE Hell in a Cell 2016.

Seth Rollins
After being screwed over by Triple H on Raw and then Jericho at Clash of Champions, Rollins has a legitimate gripe with management and deserves a rematch against Owens for the Universal Championship more than anyone.
Unfortunately, Rollins was not cleared to perform on Monday’s episode of Raw, and now there are questions about whether he’ll be ready for the Hell in a Cell PPV. If he’s cleared to perform, the rematch must take place inside the Hell in a Cell structure.
With each of his last two title shots being foiled by outside interference, the Hell in a Cell structure would actually make sense from a storyline perspective. Add in the ability of both men to take advantage of the structure, and the WWE Universe should beg for Owens vs. Rollins inside the cell.
Wrestling fans will be watching Rollins’ injury closely in the coming weeks.
Enzo and Cass
In the event that Rollins is not cleared medically by the time Hell in a Cell arrives, a tag team match between Enzo and Cass against Owens and Jericho would make for a suitable replacement bout.
While the Universal Championship not being on the line may anger some fans, the amount of entertainment in one match would make for incredible segments. Owens and Jericho have been great together and with a face duo to match wits, the in-ring battle and promos would be unparalleled.
Booking a tag team match would also afford WWE Creative the opportunity to not rewrite the Universal Championship scene. Enzo and Cass would be a stopgap while Rollins gets healthy, and fans would get Owens vs. Rollins as soon as the latter is back to 100 percent.
If Rollins can’t wrestle at Hell in a Cell, a tag team bout featuring Owens, Jericho, Cass and Enzo would be a very entertaining replacement.
