WWE SmackDown: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for September 6

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the September 6 episode of SmackDown.

This is the final show before the blue brand has its first exclusive pay-per-view on Sunday. As of this writing, WWE.com only has five matches listed for Backlash, so there is plenty of room to feature more of the SmackDown roster.

Thursday's show will feature the semifinals of the tournament to crown SmackDown's first tag team champions, with the winners going on to battle for the belts on Sunday.

It hardly feels like it's time for another PPV since SummerSlam was just a few weeks ago, but with WWE increasing the number of yearly events to 19, it's going to feel like this every few weeks going forward. Hopefully WWE can keep things interesting so fans don't get burned out.

Will The Miz have more harsh words for Daniel Bryan?

How will Nikki Bella get revenge after being attacked by Carmella two weeks in a row?

Can Heath Slater and Rhyno work together to defeat Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley?

What does Dean Ambrose have to do in order to retain his WWE title against AJ Styles?

And lastly, how will Randy Orton prepare to take on Bray Wyatt?
