Myles Davis Suspended: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction
Xavier Musketeers shooting guard Myles Davis has been suspended indefinitely from all basketball activities stemming from a criminal damaging charge, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Shannon Russell.
"Playing basketball for Xavier is a privilege and we have high expectations for how our student-athletes represent our university," Xavier head coach Chris Mack said, per Russell. "Unless Myles meets those expectations he will not be a part of our program."
In early July, Davis was charged with misdemeanor criminal damaging after he allegedly broke his ex-girlfriend's cellphones, punched holes through her walls and attempted to punch holes through her windows following a discussion about ending their relationship, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Kevin Grasha and Patrick Brennan.

Shortly after he was charged, a judge signed a three-year protective order against Davis that ordered him to stay 500 feet away from the woman, Kiley Stoll. The lone exception is at Xavier University, where he is not allowed within 10 feet of her.
"She is emotionally wrecked," Kiley's father, Ken Stoll, told Grasha. "There have been a lot of tears, a lot of crying."
In mid-August, Davis was charged with another count of misdemeanor criminal damaging stemming from the alleged incident, per Grasha.
"There was no intent by Mr. Davis to harm any property," Davis' attorney, Clyde Bennett II said. "He’s not guilty of the charges, and we look forward to our day in court."
A 22-year-old senior guard, Davis ranked third among Musketeers players in scoring at 10.8 points per game last season. He also ranked among the team's top three-point shooters with a 38.1 percent conversion rate.
