Matthew Dellavedova, Bucks Reportedly Agree on Offer Sheet
Cleveland Cavaliers restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova has reportedly inked an offer sheet for four years and $38.4 million with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Zach Lowe of ESPN first reported the deal, with David Aldridge of NBA.com confirming the deal. LeBron James later wished Dellavedova well, despite the fact that Cleveland can match the deal:
Dellavedova told Roy Ward of the Sydney Morning Herald earlier in the week that he hoped to stay with the reigning champions, but he wasn't sure if it was actually possible.
"In the NBA you never know what's going to happen," he said. "I've had a great three years in Cleveland and I hope we can figure something out but with the salary cap and money they have paid over guys we will see what happens. There is a business side to it and it will be an interesting week or two."
Dellavedova played a limited role for the Cavaliers this past season. He averaged just 7.5 points and 4.4 assists while playing 24.6 minutes per game. His involvement further diminished in the playoffs, as he played just 12.1 minutes per contest.
