Sharks Center Joe Thornton Gets Puck Lodged in Pants During Conference Final

Sunday night’s Game 1 of the Western Conference Final was an eventful one for San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton.

In addition to beard-fighting with David Backes of the St. Louis Blues, the 36-year-old lost a puck in his pants.

The puck ricocheted off Thornton's stick in the first period and lodged itself somewhere in his equipment. He had an unusually hard time finding it and even needed assistance on the bench.

Eventually, it was found.

The Blues ended up winning 2-1.
