Joe Thornton and David Backes Tug Each Other's Beards During Conference Final

Nothing beats a classic beard brawl.

During Sunday’s Game 1 clash between the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup Western Conference Final, Joe Thornton and David Backes had a little disagreement.

They handled it the only way they could in a playoff game—by tugging on each other’s facial hair.

This is less painful and less dangerous than throwing fists. Thornton and Backes might be onto something.
