WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for April 20

The Doctor Chris MuellerApr 19, 2016

When WWE taped the matches for the past few weeks of NXT at WrestleMania Axxess, they were filmed in a certain order, but management has shown them in a completely different way.

However, now that the number of matches filmed has dwindled in the past two weeks, we have a much better idea of what to expect this Wednesday.

Instead of playing a guessing game, what we will do is list all the bouts left and then focus on the two we know for sure will air on the next episode:

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW
  • Asuka vs. Eva Marie
  • The Revival vs. local talents
  • Hype Bros vs. Team BAMF
  • Carmella vs. Aliyah
  • Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Elias Samson
  • American Alpha vs. Enzo and Big Cass
  • Nia Jax vs. Deonna Purrazzo
  • Levis "No Way Jose" Valenzuela vs. Alexander Wolfe
  • Samoa Joe vs. Apollo Crews

Thanks to NXT's Twitter account, we know American Alpha will take on Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and Levis "No Way Jose" Valenzuela will make his debut:

Let's start with American Alpha and The Realest Guys in the Room. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are coming off the biggest win of their careers at TakeOver: Dallas, and they will be looking to continue building off that momentum.

Unfortunately, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady won't just roll over and give them an easy win. They are on the main roster beating guys like The Dudley Boyz, so they will put up a challenge.

Both teams bring something different to the table, and both are quite popular with the NXT Universe for different reasons.

Jordan and Gable have the technical wrestling down to a science, but Amore and Big Cass have the charisma and more experience teaming together.

It will be interesting to see which team the fans decide to root for. In the end, everyone will win because this will be one of the best matches of the night.

When it comes to Levis "No Way Jose" Valenzuela, nobody knows what to expect from the NXT rookie in his debut.

He has been training at the Performance Center and wrestling at house shows for over a year, but WWE seems primed to give him a push in his televised debut.

All we have as a preview for his character is a vague video featuring dance music and what looks like a 1990s screen saver in the background, so he is a bit of a mystery.

Considering he wasn't a big name before coming to WWE, it's surprising management would give him an advertised debut complete with a hype video.

Someone important clearly sees something in him, otherwise he would have debuted with no hype in a squash match like most other rookies.

WWE will pick a few other bouts from what is left over from the Axxess tapings to sprinkle in with these two matches. What are you hoping to see on this week's episode of NXT?
