
President Obama Phones Jay Wright to Congratulate Villanova on Championship
The Villanova Wildcats are the champions of college basketball, which means they have a date at the White House in their future.
President Barack Obama wasn't going to wait that long to congratulate the Wildcats, though. In fact, he did so as soon as possible.
President Obama took a few minutes Wednesday to phone Villanova coach Jay Wright and send some love to the team. You might recall that had the Wildcats going deep (Elite Eight) but not winning the entire tournament.

Villanova is the sixth school to cut down the nets during President Obama's two-term tenure. It would have been fitting for the North Carolina Tar Heels to be the first and last college basketball team President Obama hosted at the White House, but he'll get a kick out of adding a new jersey to his collection.
