Notre Dame Pulls Out 1-Point Win over Stephen F. Austin with Last-Second Tip-in
The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks gave the Notre Dame Fighting Irish all they could handle in the second round of the 2016 NCAA tournament, but in the end, the Fighting Irish did just enough to get the victory.
Trailing by one point in the final 30 seconds, Notre Dame came up with a stop on the defensive end to give itself a chance to win the game. After a few failed attempts that bounced around the basket, freshman guard Rex Pflueger was there to finally tip in a rebound for the go-ahead bucket with 1.5 seconds remaining.
Not a bad time for him to get his only two points of the game.
