The No. 16 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles and No. 11 Wichita State Shockers booked their tickets to the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament Tuesday with victories in the First Four.

Florida Gulf Coast, who made headlines in 2013 with its exciting tournament run, crushed fellow No. 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson, 96-65, in the opener at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The Eagles will face the No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels on Thursday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Gregg Marshall's Wichita State team earned their victory by way of a dominant second half that was capped by a 20-4 run. Wichita State downed the No. 11 Vanderbilt Commodores, who were one of the nation's most disappointing teams this season.
