Favorite to Win It All: Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks are the overall No. 1 seed for a reason. Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden have proved to be a dynamic duo for the Jayhawks, but what Devonte' Graham did in the Big 12 title game can't go overlooked.

Graham scored 27 points to lead the Jayhawks over West Virginia in the conference tournament championship. He's become a third option Kansas can go to down the stretch when in need of a big basket, as he proved on Saturday.

Luke Winn of Sports Illustrated sees Graham as a potential player to carry Kansas to a title:

"

The Jayhawks are in the process of grooming one from within their own roster, because they do have a guard capable of leading with boundless emotion: Graham, the guy who skipped down the court on Saturday night after hitting a big three with 15:27 to go in the second half against West Virginia, which put Kansas up nine—and the same guy who did a low-armed, airplane-style glide, 38 seconds later, after another three that put KU up 12. Graham was a game-changer.

"

The South Region is, without question, the most difficult region in the entire bracket. Kansas is at the top of it all, and whoever comes out of that region will win it all. There haven't been many teams this year that have taken the claim of being No. 1 and run with it. Kansas is one of the few, and the Jayhawks will be cutting the nets in early April because of their depth and overall talent level.
