In a game that came down to the final possession, the Seton Hall Pirates (25-8) upset the Villanova Wildcats (29-5), 69-67, to become the Big East tournament champions Saturday.
Isaiah Whitehead, who scored 26 points on 11-of-21 shooting, led Seton Hall. Desi Rodriguez (12) and Derrick Gordon (10) joined him in double figures.
Kris Jenkins, who scored 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting, led Villanova.
