Another year, another team from the state of North Carolina representing the ACC in the conference title game.
Of course, it actually is the North Carolina Tar Heels in the title game for the fifth time in six years. No. 1 seed UNC will take on the No. 2 seed Virginia Cavaliers for an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament, as well as a potential No. 1 seed in March Madness.
The Tar Heels manhandled Notre Dame in the semifinals by 31 points, while Virginia edged out the Miami Hurricanes 73-68 for their second conference title game appearance in three years.

Prediction
North Carolina has the talent. It has the star duo of Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson. The Tar Heels are the top seed in this tournament for a reason: They've been that good all year long.
Virginia, however, has played its best basketball at the right time. The Cavaliers are led by conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, who scored 24 points in UVA's win over Miami on Friday.
His performance will dictate how Virginia plays in this game, and the Tar Heels know that firsthand from Virginia's win on Feb. 27. Brogdon scored 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting in Virginia's 79-74 win in the two teams' only meeting during the regular season.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman thinks when the discussion of first-team All-Americans is brought up, Brogdon is deserving of the distinction:
And although UNC has the star power and size, Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post won't bet against the ACC's top player:
Brogdon's versatility at both ends gives Virginia an advantage that North Carolina doesn't have. A big game from Brogdon means a Virginia win, and the Cavaliers will get just that on Saturday along with a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Prediction: Virginia 74, North Carolina 70
