The No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers advanced to the ACC tournament final on Friday night with their seventh victory over an AP Top 25 team against the No. 11 Miami Hurricanes.
Virginia, who is in the mix for a No. 1 seed on Selection Sunday, boasts a 7-1 record against ranked opponents and has a five-game winning streak heading into Saturday's championship bout with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Tony Bennett's Cavaliers appeared to have a comfortable advantage heading into the locker room, but the stingy Hurricanes used a 6-0 run to close the gap to five points after 20 minutes.
Miami stuck with Virginia for most of the second half, but turnovers on key possessions and little contributions from its star players sunk its hopes of advancing to Saturday's final.
The Hurricanes committed 16 turnovers and received only nine points from Angel Rodriguez, while Davon Reed only scored three points in the defeat.
Virginia opened up a 13-point advantage after the under-four timeout, but Miami clawed back to within three in the final minute before the Cavaliers finally closed out the game at the free-throw line.
Malcolm Brogdon led the Cavaliers with 24 points, while London Perrantes contributed 11 points in the victory.
