Game 1: No. 13 Wake Forest vs. No. 12 North Carolina State
Head coach Danny Manning and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons have been the bearers of bad luck this season, losing one ACC game by two, another in double overtime and one at the buzzer to Virginia.
Look for Wake Forest to have some good luck against an underachieving North Carolina State Wolf Pack team that won just five conference games and finished under .500 for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
Prediction: Wake Forest 66, N.C. State 60
Game 2: No. 14 Boston College vs. No. 11 Florida State
With zero conference wins this year, the Boston College Eagles became the first ACC team go winless in conference play in both football and men's basketball in the same season, per ESPN.com.
At 8-10 in the conference and 18-12 overall, the Florida State Seminoles aren't great, but they also aren't bad enough to lose to a 7-24 team.
Prediction: Florida State 81, Boston College 69
Game 3: No. 9 Syracuse vs. No. 8 Pittsburgh

The Syracuse Orange and Pittsburgh Panthers both finished at 9-9 in the ACC and within one game of each other in the overall standings.
Considering it would make sense for this No. 8 vs. No. 9 matchup to be close, it will probably be a blowout.
Both teams ended the season on two-game losing streaks, so to go with the March Madness theme, the team that was swept by the other in the regular season will win this one.
Prediction: Syracuse 77, Pitt 58
Game 4: No. 13 Wake Forest vs. No. 5 Duke
Winning one game in the tournament would be considered a success since Wake Forest won just two during regular-season conference play.
Duke may not be its usual high seed, but it won't lose in the second round.
Prediction: Duke 91, Wake Forest 70
Game 5: No. 10 Georgia Tech vs. No. 7 Clemson
Could there be any more bland teams that fans outside of the ACC couldn't care less about?
Neither the Clemson Tigers nor the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are awful, but they have just six RPI Top 50 wins between them. To compare, the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks have 14.
Prediction: Clemson 59, Georgia Tech 55
Game 6: No. 11 Florida State vs. No. 6 Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech capped off an improved season under second-year head coach Buzz Williams with a 77-62 victory over the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday. But while its 10 ACC wins are impressive, its two Top 50 RPI wins and four losses outside the RPI Top 50 are not.
Prediction: Florida State 80, Virginia Tech 77
Game 7: No. 9 Syracuse vs. No. 1 North Carolina
The North Carolina Tar Heels won the ACC regular-season crown with a 14-4 conference record, but according to Seth Davis of CBS Sports, they had a little help from the schedule-makers:
Even so, Syracuse, which was swept by the Tar Heels this season, won't have enough in the tank after playing its second game in two days to take down a talented UNC squad led by seniors Marcus Paige (12.0 ppg, 3.7 apg) and Brice Johnson (16.8 ppg, 10.8 rpg).
Prediction: UNC 79, Syracuse 66
Game 8: No. 5 Duke vs. No. 4 Notre Dame

The Irish won the ACC tournament last year with a championship win over North Carolina and have the luxury of a double-bye in this year's tournament.
Duke has the luxury of having Mike Krzyzewski as its head coach and a sophomore guard in Grayson Allen who is averaging 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
The Blue Devils are second in the ACC in three-point shooting at 38.9 percent, while the Irish rank 322nd in the country in three-point defense.
Look for that to be the biggest difference in another Duke victory.
Prediction: Duke 71, Notre Dame 66
Game 9: No. 7 Clemson vs. No. 2 Virginia
Virginia is led by senior guard Malcolm Brogdon (18.4 ppg), who was named ACC Player and Defensive Player of the Year, per Virginia Basketball:
Brogdon and the Cavaliers already have beaten Clemson twice, and while it's hard to beat a good team three times in a season, the Tigers are closer to average.
The Cavaliers are a buzzer-beater at Duke and a three-point loss at Miami away from riding a 12-game win streak. Tony Bennett's squad should be fresh and ready to handle a Clemson team it clearly has the upper hand against.
Prediction: Virginia 70, Clemson 60
Game 10: No. 11 Florida State vs. No. 3 Miami
It was a good run for Florida State, but a third win in three days is too much to ask against a Miami team that was one loss to Virginia Tech away from earning a share of the ACC regular-season title with North Carolina.
Head coach Jim Larranaga's squad will handle a Seminoles team it swept during the regular season and that lost five of seven to end the year.
Prediction: Miami 81, Florida State 71
Game 11: No. 5 Duke vs. No. 1 North Carolina
Duke vs. North Carolina III should be a good one.
The teams split during the regular season—with both road teams claiming victories—and always seem to make it a close game when on the court together.
| March 5, 2016 | Durham, North Carolina (Cameron Indoor Stadium) | 76-72 | North Carolina |
| Feb. 17, 2016 | Chapel Hill, North Carolina (Dean Dome) | 74-73 | Duke |
| March 7, 2015 | Chapel Hill (Dean Dome) | 84-77 | Duke |
| Feb. 18, 2015 | Durham (Cameron Indoor Stadium) | 92-90 | Duke |
| March 8, 2014 | Durham (Cameron Indoor Stadium) | 93-81 | Duke |
Although they don't play the same position, watching Allen's offense and Johnson's defense will be fun for any fan.
The Blue Devils, who were out-rebounded 64-29 and missed 20 three-point attempts against North Carolina on Saturday in the regular-season finale, still found a way to stay in the game and eventually lost by just four points.
North Carolina was aided by a comfy regular-season schedule, and beating Duke twice in the same season seems like too much to ask.
Prediction: Duke 81, North Carolina 79
Game 12: No. 3 Miami vs. No. 2 Virginia
Miami has a shot to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament, but the Cavaliers are Final Four contenders behind Brogdon's leadership.
However, his backcourt mate, point guard London Perrantes, has improved his game from last year and makes the 1-2 combo one of the most talented in the country, according to Matthew Giles of the Washington Post:
"After making just 32 percent of his threes a year ago, Perrantes has become a knock down shooter, and his 52 percent from beyond the arc leads the nation. It is one of the more remarkable improvements in 2016 (one, frankly, that hasn’t been mentioned enough). Perrantes is such an adroit ball-handler that when defenders come flying at him to take away the three, he can use his dribble to attack the rim or find other Cavaliers.
"
The Cavaliers are playing too well right now to fall in their second game of the tournament.
Prediction: Virginia 69, Miami 65
Game 13: No. 5 Duke vs. No. 2 Virginia
Despite coming in as the fifth seed this year, Duke is no stranger to ACC tournament title games. In fact, the Blue Devils' 19 championships are more than any other conference team, per ACCbasketball.com.
While Virginia has just two ACC tournament titles, one came just a year ago, and it has finished no worse than second in the regular season the past three years.
The Cavaliers are playing as well as any team in the country not named the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks, and they have an advantage over Duke—should this scenario play out—of not having to play on Wednesday.
It will be the fourth game in seven days for the Blue Devils, and beating a Virginia team that holds an extra day of rest is no easy task.
In a tightly-contested season featuring the top seven teams all within three games of each other, Virginia stands alone as the top squad heading into the NCAA tournament.
Prediction: Virginia 68, Duke 64
