No. 1 Kansas closed out the game on a 17-7 run to hold off No. 21 Iowa State, 85-78, on an emotional senior day Saturday at Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

The win extends the Jayhawks' (27-4, 15-3 Big 12) impressive streak of home dominance. They've won 40 straight on their floor and haven't dropped a senior day in 32 years. Bill Self has more conference titles (12) than home losses (9) during his tenure.

Perry Ellis led Kansas with 22 points and seven rebounds in his last start at Lawrence. 

Iowa State (21-10, 10-8 Big 12) held its own for most of the day, leading for a good chunk of it before falling apart in the closing minutes. 

The Cyclones were the last team to beat Kansas, 85-72 in Ames back in January, but they couldn't close the deal.

Georges Niang led Iowa State with 22 points and five rebounds.
