Duke's Grayson Allen Takes Elbow to Face Fighting for Loose Ball vs. Louisville

Kyle NewportFeb 20, 2016

Duke Blue Devils guard Grayson Allen had himself quite a game against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, but he didn't get through the battle unscathed.

Near the midway point of the second half, Allen—who tripped a Cardinals player during the teams' last meeting—got tangled up with Louisville's Jaylen Johnson in pursuit of a loose ball. Neither player wanted to stop fighting for the ball, but the Duke sophomore had no choice but to back off after he took an elbow to the face.

The referees went to the monitors to see what type of foul should be called, and they decided to assess a technical on Johnson.
