Other Fastlane Thoughts
The buildup for Fastlane has been a mixed bag. Some of the feuds have been given a great amount of attention, while others feel like they were thrown together to fill space.
However, the card itself looks great. We have two Divas matches with some of the best female talent in the company, some non-title bouts that could steal the show and a stellar main event.
In addition to all that, we will get a special appearance from Edge and Christian. The former world champions are always welcomed back with open arms by the WWE Universe, and to make things even better, they will be in the ring with one of the hottest acts in WWE when they interview The New Day.
This event marks Styles' first singles match on a WWE pay-per-view, so there is a lot of pressure on The Phenomenal One and Jericho to live up to their two previous encounters.
With Bella telling Good Morning America she may be retiring as soon as this summer, it's possible WWE might want to give her one last run with the Divas title as a way to thank her for all the hard work she has put into the company.
The last few weeks have been all about creating tension between Ambrose and Reigns. They keep telling us they are on the same page, but as soon as that bell rings, friendship goes out the door, and it becomes all about earning a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The results of this event will give us a good idea of what the card will look like at WrestleMania 32, so hopefully management has booked some surprises and satisfying outcomes.
