2016 NFL Mock Draft: Latest Projections for Elite 1st-Round Prospects
With Super Bowl 50 firmly in the rearview mirror and February's NFL Scouting Combine approaching, the first postseason draft projections are beginning to take shape.
There's a legitimate battle for the top quarterback spot and a question as to what the Tennessee Titans should do with the first selection. In this mock, we won't speculate on a potential trade of the first pick in the draft, but that would likely be the best move Tennessee can make.
Quarterback isn't a need because the Titans took Marcus Mariota with the No. 2 pick in the draft in 2015. They have several other holes. Trading back to add picks would be more beneficial. There are several teams behind them that are thirsty for their own franchise quarterback.
Jumping to the No. 1 spot is the only way to ensure those teams get the guys they have at the top of their boards. The Titans would be wise to stockpile picks to fill as many voids as possible.
With that said, here's the first-round mock.

Laremy Tunsil
If the Titans are going to keep their first-round pick, the safest pick is the Ole Miss Rebels' Laremy Tunsil. He's the closest thing to a can't-miss prospect at left tackle in the draft. The Titans gave up a league-leading 54 sacks in 2015. Whether the team trades the top pick or not, it has to address the offensive line.
In the interest of protecting last year's investment, Tunsil is the no-brainer selection at the top of the draft. The 6'5", 305-pounder has the look of a future All-Pro performer. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein has a glowing scouting report for the 21-year-old:
"From a talent and technique standpoint, Tunsil is easily cleanest offensive lineman in the 2016 draft and might be the cleanest prospect period. Tunsil showed signs of rust against Texas A&M in his first game back from a seven game suspension, and he still kept Myles Garrett in check. Tunsil lacks pure power, but has the body control to be a quality run blocker in space and on levels. Ultimately, his feet, technique and instincts could make him an all-pro and one of the top pass protectors in the NFL.
"
No Titans fan should be upset if the team goes the safe route.
Carson Wentz
The hottest name in the NFL draft is the North Dakota State Bison's Carson Wentz. He doesn't come from a large or high-profile program, but Wentz appears to check every box.
Wentz stands 6'5", weighs 232 pounds and he played his college career in a pro-style offense. Wentz is also a natural leader who just seems to get it.
If the Cleveland Browns are looking for the anti-Johnny Manziel, Wentz should be the pick over the California Golden Bears' Jared Goff. This is meant as no disrespect to Goff. He will more than likely be a productive QB in the NFL.
However, Wentz looks like a QB who has a chance to be special.
Myles Jack

The Miami Dolphins had talent sprinkled over their defense but lacked a leader and a linchpin. That missing piece could be linebacker extraordinaire Myles Jack from the UCLA Bruins.
Jack is quite simply the most special defensive prospect in the draft. His speed, physicality and instincts are rare. Jack is coming off a serious knee injury, but that's the only potential drawback to his prospect portfolio.
With Ndamukong Suh anchoring the defensive line, Jack can dominate the second level of the Dolphins defense. Drafting him with the eighth pick in April would be the best move the 'Fins can make.
