The Temple Owls put together a resilient, come-from-behind effort on Thursday night, defeating their conference rival Connecticut Huskies, 63-58.
Three players scored in double figures for the Owls—Quenton DeCosey, Daniel Dingle and Devin Coleman—and Jaylen Bond added a near double-double with 13 rebounds and eight points.

The Huskies were led by Shonn Miller (15 points) and Rodney Purvis (12 points), in addition to a near double-double by Daniel Hamilton (10 rebounds, nine points).
UConn held a nine-point lead with 13:54 to play, after Phillip Nolan's layup gave the Huskies a 43-34 lead. That's when the wheels fell off.
Over the final seven minutes, the Owls outscored UConn 23-6. They were also aided by several errors down the stretch by the Huskies, as turnovers by Hamilton, Purvis and Jalen Adams on the final three UConn possessions ultimately impeded its comeback chance.
DeCosey, who scored a game-high 23 points, hit all five of his free throw attempts in the final 1:10 to clinch the win.
Temple (15-8, 9-3 American) will host South Florida on Sunday. Connecticut (17-7, 7-4 American) will host Tulsa on Saturday.
