Chad Johnson Said He Used Teammates' Urine to Help Recover from Sprained Ankles

Kyle NewportFeb 10, 2016

Former Cincinnati Bengals star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson did a lot of crazy things during his NFL career, but nothing will top his bizarre rehab process.

Johnson made the rounds at ESPN on Wednesday with his buddy Terrell Owens. It was during his appearance on Mike & Mike that the six-time Pro Bowler told the world how he used to recover from a sprained ankle.

  • Step 1: Collect warm urine from teammates
  • Step 2: Heat up the urine
  • Step 3: Stick the ankle in the urine and soak for 30 minutes

Just like that, it's (apparently) good as new.

A lot of people would probably have a hard time thinking about that plan, let alone actually doing it. Heck, some people probably want to go take a shower after listening to the clip.

But Ochocinco was never afraid to do things a little differently. Whatever he did during his career worked, so it's tough to really question his crazy antics on the field or in the locker room—even if he did stick his ankles in his teammates' urine.
