Texas vs. Oklahoma: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

Carol SchramFeb 8, 2016

Hot second-half shooting by Buddy Hield gave No. 3 Oklahoma a 63-60 win over No. 24 Texas on Big Monday at Lloyd Noble Center.

Hield scored the Sooners' last 12 points as they fought back from a 31-22 deficit at halftime to stretch their home winning streak to 19 games. He finished the night with a three-pointer for the win with 1.3 seconds remaining, totalling 27 points.

Hield also went 10-for 11 from the free-throw line, while his teammate Isaiah Cousins chipped in 17 points of his own.

The Longhorns continued to demonstrate the strides that they're taking under first-year coach Shaka Smart. Defensively, Oklahoma's 22 points was the worst performance by the former No. 1 team in any half this season and offensively, Isaiah Taylor led the way with 19 points while Kendal Yancy started off hot and tallied a season-high 13.

After losing their No. 1 spot in the AP rankings over the weekend thanks to a road loss to Kansas State, Oklahoma's gutsy comeback win shows they're not a team to be underestimated going into the 2016 NCAA postseason.
