Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana Hoosiers: Stats and Highlights from Indiana's Win

Michael WhitlowJan 5, 2016

In the first game of an exciting Super Tuesday doubleheader on ESPN, the Indiana Hoosiers won their eight game in a row with a 59-58 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers.

Wisconsin split the first two games of its Big Ten schedule by losing its opener to No. 20 Purdue at home and then defeated Rutgers this past Saturday, while the Hoosiers opened conference play with back-to-back wins over Rutgers and Nebraska.

The opening half had a slow pace and was played in the half-court for its entirety; something that played into the Badgers' hands through the first 20 minutes.

But, the Hoosiers woke up a bit in the second half, scoring 35 points, including a perfect 10-for-10 showing at the free throw line after not taking any attempts in the first half.

Despite five turnovers, Yogi Ferrell led the way with 19 points for the Hoosiers and made four humongous free throws to help preserve the win.

If you missed the back-and-forth affair in Bloomington, here's a recap of statistics and highlights of ESPN's Super Tuesday's opening act for Ben Simmons and LSU against No. 9 Kentucky.
