Terrell Owens Says He'd be Interested in Working Out for Patriots
Despite having been out of the league for three years, Terrell Owens isn't ready to give up on a return to the NFL.
"Would I be open to it? Considering an organization like the [New England] Patriots? Yes," said Owens on Wednesday, per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. "Knowing Tom [Brady] and understanding the structure of what Bill Belichick, how he runs his ship, I have no problem with that. A lot of people will obviously speculate into what I may bring from a negative standpoint to that organization."
The Patriots are in the midst of a minor crisis at wide receiver. Julian Edelman remains out with a foot injury, while both Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson were hurt in New England's Monday night win over the Buffalo Bills.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New England famously rejuvenated Randy Moss' career after his arrival in 2007, but that was a completely different situation than that of Owens. Moss was coming off a few bad seasons. Owens, on the other hand, hasn't played a regular-season game since 2010 and wasn't particularly good in that one year with the Cincinnati Bengals.
He has reached the stage of his NFL career where he's in discussions for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, per NFL.com's Chris Trapasso:
Of course, Owens saying he's interested in joining the Patriots is one thing; the Patriots would have to show an interest in signing him.
Even leaving aside Owens' reputation for causing friction in the locker room, there's little reason to think he could be a valuable member of an NFL team at this point.
