
Gonzaga vs. Pittsburgh Game Canceled Due to Dangerous Floor Conditions
The Pittsburgh Panthers and No. 9 Gonzaga Bulldogs squared off Friday night at the Armed Forces Classic in Okinawa, Japan, but the action lasted only 20 minutes before it was canceled because of slippery floor conditions, according to Sports Illustrated's David Gardner.
Pittsburgh's official Twitter account indicated moisture on the floor was to blame for the truncated showdown.
The Panthers led 37-35 prior to the stoppage, which was precipitated by some nasty spills, as NBC Sports' Rob Dauster documented:

Even with play moving at a slow pace in the half court, defenders couldn't maintain proper footing:

Pittsburgh and Gonzaga will now head stateside in hopes of resuming regular-season play on safer terms. The Bulldogs will square off against Northern Arizona and Mount St. Mary's before heading to the Bahamas to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Panthers, meanwhile, will host Saint Joseph's (Indiana), Detroit, Cornell and Kent State before welcoming Purdue to the Petersen Events Center on Dec. 1.
