Lindsey Duvall, Kentucky Women's Basketball Recruit, Sidelined Due to Tumor
A week removed from committing to Kentucky, prized 2017 recruit Lindsey Duvall announced she will miss four-to-six months after a tumor was discovered on her left leg.
Duvall held a press conference Wednesday to announce the news at Bullitt East High School, per Josh Moore of the Herald-Leader.
ESPN.com ranks Duvall as the No. 10 overall prospect and third-ranked point guard in the Class of 2017. She averaged 23.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game during her sophomore season and was expected to have a big 2015-16 campaign. She will miss her entire junior season because of the tumor, though she'll still have a year of eligibility left.
