Tacko Fall, UCF Freshman, to Sue NCAA If Not Granted Academic Waiver
With his eligibility for the 2015-16 season still hanging in the balance, University of Central Florida freshman center Tacko Fall intends to sue the NCAA if it refuses to provide him with an academic waiver.
According to ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman, Fall's guardian, Amanda Wettstein, revealed Tuesday he is prepared to take legal action against the NCAA as it continues to investigate his high school:
"He will be represented. This just isn't right. ... Right now, the NCAA seems to be hiding behind his high school, Liberty Christian, not being certified. They aren't accepting chemistry, calculus and other courses in which he excelled. This slaps in the face of what they say, that they look at each individual circumstance.

The American host mother of Fall said Central Florida has filed for an academic waiver to allow him to play while the NCAA reviews his high school records, per the Associated Press, via Yahoo Sports.
Fall, who was born in Senegal, came to the United States for his junior and senior years of high school. Per Goodman, he produced a GPA of 3.6 at Liberty Christian Preparatory School in Tavares, Florida, but the NCAA is accepting only 7.5 of Fall's core courses due to the investigation.
ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale is among those who believe Fall is being treated unfairly by the NCAA:
According to 247Sports, Fall was a 3-star prospect who ranked as the No. 16 center recruit in the nation. Where he truly stands out, though, is in the size department as he stands 7'6".
Fall would undoubtedly provide a huge boost as a paint presence for a Knights team that hasn't made the NCAA tournament since 2005.
UCF's leading rebounder pulled down just 5.2 boards per game last season, and there is little doubt Fall would be a huge improvement in that area.
The American Athletic Conference school is coming off of consecutive losing seasons, and if it is forced to enter the 2015-16 season without one of its prized recruits, reaching the next level may have to be put on hold.
