
University of Maine Trolls Indianapolis Colts over Failed Trick Play
Everyone is taking shots at the Indianapolis Colts after the team ran what is being called the "worst play in NFL history" against the New England Patriots on Sunday night.
While there have been some good jabs here and there, the best troll job arguably came from the Maine Black Bears.
The trick play the Colts attempted reminded the Black Bears of a play they ran against James Madison back in 2011. In overtime, Maine answered a James Madison touchdown with one of its own. Instead of kicking the game-tying extra point, the Black Bears went for two, using a tricky formation in the process.

Black Bears quarterback Chris Treister took the snap, rolled out to his right and took off running with the football. Two defenders met him just before the goal line, but Treister managed to get into the end zone by going airborne, helicoptering his way in for the score.
Just like that, Maine pulled out a 25-24 victory over James Madison in wild fashion.

Two somewhat similar formations, two vastly different outcomes. And unlike Indianapolis, Maine didn't get flagged for an illegal formation.
