Eli's coming and the Giants will get win No. 1
It has been a tough first two weeks for the New York Giants as they have blown late leads against the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons, leaving their fans in uproar.
Poor clock management had a disastrous impact against the Cowboys and it led to a key penalty at the end of the Atlanta game.
The good news is that the Giants are only two games into their schedule and they have plenty of time to make up for these gaffes. It helps that the Philadelphia Eagles, who were picked to finish at the top of the division by many of the preseason magazines, are also 0-2.
The Cowboys are 2-0, but Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are both injured and will be out of the lineup for the foreseeable future.
If the Giants can beat the Washington Redskins, who managed to play a solid game against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, they will be right back in the picture.
The playmaking ability of Odell Beckham Jr. will be too much for the slowish Redskins defense, and Washington will turn the ball over in its first road game.
The Giants will overcome their late failures and roll past the Redskins.

Peterson, Vikings to outlast Chargers
First impressions in the NFL often have nothing to do with the way a season turns out.
The Minnesota Vikings made a terrible first impression when they played the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and got stopped in their tracks by the fired-up 49ers playing in their home opener.
Perhaps the Vikings were too caught up in all the preseason reports declaring they were this year's "it" team due to the return of Adrian Peterson, the rise of head coach Mike Zimmer and the emergence of second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
The Vikings were awful in Week 1, but they put on an outstanding show in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions as they registered a 26-16 victory and Peterson found his running stride.
Peterson carried 29 times for 134 yards, and he provided the formula for the Vikings to win key games throughout the season.
The Vikings are going to play old-school football and attempt to punish their opponents with physical play. The running game and the defense will make the difference for them.
They will probably be much more effective at home than they are on the road. Look for them to assert themselves against the Chargers, who play a tough game on the road in the midwest (Cincinnati in Week 2) for the second consecutive game.

Bills will keep it quiet and win in South Florida
The Buffalo Bills are not a shy group.
They take after their boisterous head coach and speak their minds. At least that's what happened before their Week 2 encounter with the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.
Rex Ryan has never made a secret out of how much he likes to beat Bill Belichick. After the Bills beat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, Ryan and his players also declared their all-around dislike for the Patriots.
The Pats were angry enough based on all the Deflategate controversy. The Bills fueled their fire and the Pats went into Ralph Wilson Stadium and came away with the 40-32 victory. It would have been far worse if the Buffalo offense hadn't come alive in the fourth quarter.
Don't expect the Bills to start yapping about the Miami Dolphins. They will keep their minds on their business and head to South Florida in a mood to handle their business. Young quarterback Tyrod Taylor will find a way to outduel Ryan Tannehill, and Mario Williams will punish the Miami quarterback.
Buffalo will come away with a key road divisional win and get back on track.
