Bradley told reporters Marks is "going to get another opinion on [his triceps]."
Jaguars Will Have Difficulty Replacing Marks
Marks, 28, emerged as a star in 2014, finishing with 44 tackles, 8.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. He has six tackles in four games this season. He's become a key figure in Jacksonville's steadily improving defense and has certainly found a home with the team over the past three seasons after four mediocre years with the Tennessee Titans to start his career.
Marks is a natural run-stuffer, so his loss weakens Jacksonville's interior defense significantly. But he has also developed into a fantastic pass-rusher, pushing the pocket back by creating pressure up the middle, a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks.
In his place, defensive tackles Roy Miller and Abry Jones will need to make a bigger impact. While Jacksonville's defensive line is arguably the strength of the team—and has pretty solid depth to pull from, even with rookie defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. lost for the season—Marks has become an indispensable part of that unit.
His loss will be tough to endure, especially for a young team like Jacksonville.
