Rodriguez Picks Up Back Injury

According to Marca (h/t Football Italia), the Colombian picked up the injury on the eve of the clash at the Stadio Olimpico. The report says that Jese and Mateo Kovacic were in line to replace the Real No. 10.
James Searching for Consistency
Rodriguez had a solid first season with the capital club and was expected to take the next step in his development in 2015-16, going from a great player to a veritable superstar capable of leading Real.
But it's been a season of mixed fortunes so far, as he's only recently enjoyed a sustained run in the side due to an injury to Gareth Bale.
His absence was keenly felt when he missed a good chunk of the start of the campaign, and he immediately made his presence felt when he returned in November. But, overall, the former Monaco man has struggled for the consistency he showcased in 2014-15.
