Jalen Hurts' Camp Reportedly Felt Eagles' Roseman Was 'Exceptional' with Process Around Injury
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has reportedly received high marks from Jalen Hurts' camp in the wake of the star quarterback's recent health and injury woes.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Hurts' team feels that Roseman has been "exceptional" throughout this process.
"He was 'extremely hands on' throughout, 'worried about Jalen's health more than anything else,' the source added," per Fowler.
Hurts was ruled out for the remainder of the season on Monday after the Eagles and Hurts' agent, Nicole Lynn, said in a statement that he has been diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs.
It was previously revealed Hurts played in the Eagles' Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London with a superficial blood clot in his calf. The clot developed after he was cleated the previous week against the Los Angeles Rams.
The timing of the Eagles' announcing Hurts' diagnosis has led to scrutiny about the organization's handling of the situation. Jonathan Jones of The Athletic reported on Tuesday the NFL won't discipline the Eagles after conducting an investigation into the matter.
However, the NFL Players Association issued a statement soon after asking for a "full investigation" into the medical care Hurts received.
The NFLPA noted it was "not aware" of any investigation by the NFL, and the league "previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care (Hurts) received."
Hurts appeared in five games for the Eagles this season. He threw for 933 yards, eight touchdowns and completed 57.8 percent of his attempts.
Philadelphia has lost four straight games after a 2-0 start. The four-game losing streak is the longest for the franchise since 2020.
