Angel Reese's Box Score Stats, Highlights as Dream Beat Mystics in WNBA Playoffs Game 1

Despite a poor shooting performance from star center Angel Reese, the Atlanta Dream opened the playoffs with a dominant win over the Washington Mystics.

The fourth-seeded Dream earned a 92-77 win over the fifth-seeded Mystics in Sunday's Game 1 in front of their home fans at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Reese finished with a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, but she shot just 4-of-15 from the field. Luckily for the Dream, star guard Rhyne Howard was on top of her game with 26 points and five steals to lead the way. Allisha Gray added 22 points to secure the victory.

Sonia Citron had 25 points to lead the Mystics, but the team finished with a whopping 22 turnovers in the loss.

The Dream trailed 41-36 at halftime, but they used a 29-12 third quarter to pull away after the break. Atlanta led by as many as 17 points in the victory.

The Mystics got double-doubles out of frontcourt stars Kiki Iriafen and Shakira Austin, but they will need to clean up their turnovers if they hope to avoid a swift elimination from the postseason.

The Dream will try to close things out when they face the Mystics in Wednesday's Game 2 in Washington.
