Sami Zayn Breaks Down in Tears After Surprise WWE Title Win vs. CM Punk in Emotional Video

Sami Zayn finally got justice.

The underdog from the underground broke down in tears after beating CM Punk to win the undisputed WWE championship on Friday Night SmackDown.

The match was set up after Punk challenged Zayn last week after Punk successfully retained his title against Johnny Gargano.

In a chaotic finishing sequence on Friday night, Gargano and Candice LeRae interfered on Zayn's behalf. Kevin Owens then ran in and attempted to hit Zayn with the title belt, but decked Punk when his former tag partner ducked.

Zayn was able to hit Owens with a low blow to get him out of the way, then nailed Punk with the helluva kick to get the pinfall. It's perhaps notable than Owens gave a wry little smile after "accidentally" hitting Punk given their issues since KO returned at SummerSlam.

The victory marks Zayn's second undisputed WWE title win. His first reign lasted just nine days when he defeated Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a triple-threat match at Night of Champions, then lost to Punk on the July 6 episode of Raw.
