Trevon Diggs' Latest NFL Workout Revealed After Lions Visit, Played For Cowboys, Packers in 2025-26
The reigning champions could be looking for some veteran secondary depth.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported cornerback Trevon Diggs tried out for the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday. Diggs appeared in nine games last season with eight of them coming for the Dallas Cowboys and the other coming for the Green Bay Packers.
This comes after he visited the Detroit Lions for a workout.
Seattle could use some cornerback depth behind Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe after Riq Woolen departed in free agency this offseason, and Diggs could provide just that.
There was a time when Diggs would have been a major addition.
After all, he was a back-to-back Pro Bowler in 2021 and 2022 with the Cowboys. He made the First Team All-Pro during that 2021 campaign when he led the league with 11 interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
Diggs was widely seen as one of the top defensive playmakers in the league at the time.
However, he was limited to just two games in 2023, 11 games in 2024 and the nine last year. Dallas released him late in the 2025 season, and he briefly joined the Packers for one regular-season game and their first-round playoff loss to the rival Chicago Bears.
The Cowboys' decision to release the cornerback put his coverage struggles under the spotlight. While his interceptions helped make up for those concerns earlier in his career when he was playing at his best, that was not the case in 2025:
Given those struggles last season, Seattle surely won't rely on him to be a primary cornerback guarding the opponent's best wide receiver if it does sign him following the tryout.
But Diggs would at least provide depth as someone with a track record of previous success.
