Everything Caitlin Clark Said About Fever's OT Win vs. Angel Reese, Dream Amid WNBA Playoff Race
The Indiana Fever picked up their fourth consecutive win on Sunday, beating Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream 95-91 in overtime.
The Fever had to mount a comeback after starting the fourth quarter down eight points, and Caitlin Clark's 26 and nine assists, plus a tremendous effort from Indiana down the stretch on defense, led to a key win.
"I felt like we played kind of like a B-minus game, like it wasn't our best, obviously," Clark said. "We probably didn't shoot the ball all that well... But we knew going into halftime a lot of this stuff that we talked about pregame, we just weren't doing... I thought we cleaned it up in the second half, or at least beat them in those categories."

With the win, Indiana is sitting at 23-12 on the season, good for fourth place in the WNBA standings. The Fever's last three wins have come against playoff teams, and Clark recognizes how important that is.
"This was a really important one for us to come in and get, and that's kind of like the story of this whole road trip," Clark said. "This is the last matchup with a lot of these teams that we have, and a lot of these teams are really good and possible teams we'll see in the playoffs. You're not looking at the full picture of where we are in the standings, but coming into each night, we know how important that win is to hopefully get home-court advantage in the playoffs."
Atlanta's backcourt duo of Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard caused problems all night as Gray finished with 32 and Howard posted 17. That wasn't enough for a win on Sunday, but Clark said the Dream have the makings of a "scary" playoff team.
"Rhyne and Grey, they're two of the best guards in the league, and with Rhyne's size, it poses a lot of problems cause of her length," Clark said. "This is a team that will be scary in the playoffs. They're great at what they do. They have a lot of different weapons."
Sunday was the first game of a five-game road trip for the Fever. Indiana will take on the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday before facing the Dallas Wings on Thursday.
