Broncos in 'No Hurry' to Sign Taysom Hill to Contract After Saints Exit, Sean Payton Says

With Taysom Hill's exit from the New Orleans Saints, he now has the chance to reunite with his former coach.

But Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton said the team is in "no hurry" to sign Hill, adding that he'll see him later this week at Drew Brees' Hall of Fame induction.

"We'll see where he's at and go from there," Payton told reporters.

Payton said after Hill's Saints departure that the Broncos have interest in him, though Hill said noted in his announcement that he doesn't have a "clear answer about what the future holds."

Hill, a Swiss-army knife of a player, spent the first nine years of his career in New Orleans, playing under Payton for five seasons. Last year, Hill rushed for 114 yards, had 91 yards through the air and picked up two total touchdowns in 13 games.

While the 35-year-old is perhaps past his prime, his skill set is one of a kind, and Payton knows best how to implement him into the offense.
